WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

The CDC estimates over 50 million Americans suffer with chronic pain (more than diabetes & heart disease) and approximately 10 million Americans overused or misused opiate pain medications. The World Health Organization lists chronic inflammatory disease to be the most significant cause of death in the world.

Our founders have personal experience with chronic pain, and with the mental and physical toll it takes on you. We know firsthand that wellness has a different meaning for everyone, requiring a multi-disciplinary approach. For some, this means seeing their PCP or therapist; maybe weekly yoga; a focused massage and a healing facial; for others, it's a combination of all of these things.

As practitioners, small business owners, partners, mothers, sisters, and friends we recognize how thin we allow ourselves to be stretched. Our goal at Oodelah is to provide a space where we can meet you where you are at in life, and be by your side on your journey to feeling better. We would be honored to help you.

OUR SOLUTION

The "Oodelah" Approach

Massage therapy is proven to reduce chronic pain, treat inflammation, and serves as a benefit to other chronic health conditions, such as high blood pressure, increased stress and anxiety, arthritis, etc.  Self care and making sure you can relax and feel refreshed is critical to decreasing inflammation while reducing pain and stress.  Properly caring for and addressing your skin needs, your body's largest organ, can play a large role in your overall health and wellness, too.
In addition to our regular treatment menu, we look forward to offering many other forms of self care in the future, from guided meditation to talk therapy.
Our "No Wrong Door" approach to health and wellness aims to make self care accessible, approachable, and equitable.

OODELAH

Community, Connection, Self Care

Oodelah was created by a group of women working together to support individual wellness and resilience.  While each of us established our careers separately and with different areas of expertise, together we found common ground with our desire to create a wellness collective with a supportive work space for us and the people we serve.  Oodelah is a woman and minority owned business that wants to bring support, pain relief, and service for our community together.  We are doing this in a way that approaches each person as an individual with specific and sometimes unique needs.  At Oodelah, we assist people with non-pharmaceutical pain management therapies for acute and chronic pain.  We support the continued wellness and resilience of the people we serve by treating them individually on their quest for personal wellness.  Oodelah services include massage, waxing, facials, prenatal/postnatal specific services, and other skin care supports and products.
